Founders Weekend 26/27/28 May

As part of the celebrations of the Suffragette gathering in 1918, Bradford Council are organizing an event in Roberts Park and the Glen
on 28th of May.

"Hats Off and Forward Together"

This will be a great gathering, scheduled to commence in Roberts Park at 11:30.

 

  • 11.00 – Music playing
  • 11.20 – Wake Up Shake Up
  • 11.30– 11.40 Introduction with Bev Mullaney
  • 11.40 – 12.00 speakers x 2 sets
  • 12.30 - Drum Machine will perform and lead the march to the tramway.

The tramway will allow people who are part of the march to travel for free. It will be open froming. 11.00am – 4:30pm.

Event layout on Shipley Glen:

Main stage to be opposite Bracken Hall facing towards the Pub and café.
There will be a whole variety of stalls and workshops lined along either side of the stage.
No parking will be allowed on the site or on the side of the road, with the exception of disabled parking.

Please note that the lower field by the bottom station will be used for parking.
Prod Lane will be closed so there will be no parking.
