Don't forget that we will be opening on Wednesdays during the school holidays. This coincides with Brackenhall's "Wild Wednesdays" activities.

First weekend Saltaire Festival 14+15 September - the theme of textiles to be supported in the information centre with quirky pictures made from dog hair from Dina and hand spinning and weaving by Anne Falkingham on. The 2nd week we will have a tombola stall.
Halloween evening event will held again in conjunction with Bracken Hall.
A one day Gothic/Ghost event being planned for primary schools by Rachel Wood Saltaire Archives Learning Officer in the 4th week of October to link-in with the schools' curriculum. We provide rides, and a volunteer in Victorian dress in the information centre as well as handing out old pennies (1d) and to talk about their significance in context with Sam Wilson and the opening of SGT in 1895 and the original fares. Other volunteers to be in Prod Lane with photos and displays to tell the story of the funfair by the top station and aerial glide, the Japanese garden and the zoo and funfair by the Glen House Pub. The children will then continue to Bracken Hall.
